Argenta House, Brent
100% affordable housing and a re-naturalised Wembley Brook
Overview
Assael designed 180 affordable homes on a constrained brownfield site, creating a vibrant community with public spaces that support sustainability, inclusion, and wellbeing.
In collaboration with Assael Exteriors, the scheme features an elevated multi-purpose outdoor space providing a safe, playful environment for residents, alongside a flexible indoor hub. At street level, commercial space activates a new public route to Stonebridge Park station, improving accessibility and wayfinding.
Visually, the striking elevated façade opposite the station acts as a wayfinding marker and completes the wider Wembley Point masterplan urban block. The materials draw inspiration from the surroundings, with two tones of brick, metal detailing, and perforated panels creating texture and visual interest.
Ecology and biodiversity are central to the scheme, including the re-naturalisation of Wembley Brook, native planting and planted terraces, improved public realm green infrastructure, sensory planting, and enhanced pedestrian routes.
