Wandsworth Riverside Quarter is the last remaining substantial riverside site in Wandsworth. Previously occupied by Shell UK, the site is to be transformed into a mixed-use riverside development. The proposal allows for private and affordable housing, all with river views, commercial premises for employment use, and restaurants and shops along the riverside frontage. A high regard for the existing and future ecology of the site has created 'green' spaces including intertidal terraces, green roofs and bird barges. The two tier riverside walk links with existing pedestrian routes through Wandsworth and connects both the informal and formal public open spaces created.
