Assael Architecture received another accolade on Wednesday night at a glittering ceremony to reveal the Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For. They were placed 22nd in the top 100 and also came second in the special award for Work-Life balance out of a total of 868 companies. Assael was one of four architectural practices to make the list. HLM Architects, Stephen George & Partners and BPTW Partnership were placed, 62, 95 and 98 respectively. The list was published as a supplement to the Sunday Times on 2nd March. This is the third time the practice has entered. Managing Director John Assael is delighted at the result and states: its the third year running and we still are the best architects to work for and are so proud, especially to come second in Work-Life balance. Once again we are setting an example for other architects to follow.

Assael Architecture scooped up another award on Monday, 25th February 2008 for its highly regarded Tachbrook Triangle scheme, developed by Barratt West London. The Building Sustainable Communities award recognises excellence in the field of community care and sustainability and is promoted by the Local Government Chronicle and the Health Service Journal. Fifteen awards were presented on the night. Assael won the award over an impressive shortlist of finalists including Gareth Hoskins Architects, Studio E Architects, DSDHA Architects and Reading Borough Council who were highly commended.

Assael has confirmed the senior promotions of six highly regarded members of staff. Gigi Hull has been promoted to the position of Commercial Director. Polly Damen has been promoted to Associate Director. Philomana Ma, Felicie Krikler, Neil Kiernan and Stephen Willmore have all been promoted to Associates. Assael has been formally notified that their Great Northern Tower development, for George Wimpey City, has won two Daily Mail UK Property Awards. The sleek 26 storey building won in the High Rise Architecture and Architecture (Multiple Dwellings) categories. Assael also won the five star award for Tachbrook Triangle in Pimlico with Barratt West London.

Tachbrook Triangle in Pimlico scooped up one of just six prestigious Housing Design Awards at a ceremony on 19th July 2007. The award recognises excellence in the design and planning of new housing, both private and affordable. Judges were impressed by this coherent quartet of three new apartment buildings designed to envelop a fourth block on the 0.195 ha site, a terrace of eleven Grade 2-listed Georgian houses.
