Rotherham Westgate

Date: 2005

Proposed Use: Residential and commercial

Former Use: Town centre car parks and listed buildings

Gross Area: 0.8 Hectares

Construction Value: £TBC

This 0.8 Hectare scheme called for the redevelopment of the existing town centre car parks and the revitalisation of a Grade II listed building. This shortisted competition entry was a key regeneration scheme within Rotherham town centre and central to the delivery of the 25 year 'Rotherham Renaissance'. The aim was to attract younger local people to live and work in the town centre, open up the waterfront, improve the urban landscape and raise the quality of design in a Rotherham Renaissance.
