Gravesend lies within the Thames Gateway development corridor on
the south bank of the River Thames. In line with the Government's
Strategic Housing Plan, the masterplan for these sites seeks to
establish a strategy for the kind of forward-looking development
that will deliver much-needed new homes in this designated area
while considering the intrinsic nature of the local district. The
scheme proposes creating two new activity hubs which serve up to
1500 new dwellings across the site.
