The design submitted here represents a highly sustainable solution. From its inception, the scheme has been conceived as one which will have a low impact on the world heritage site, not only visually, but more importantly environmentally.
Visually, the buildings sit low within the landscape. Natural materials, small areas of glazing and green roofs are included to reduce the visual impact of the visitor centre and make the most of the surrounding natural features.
