Chatham Maritime offers a unique opportunity for the creation of
a waterside mixed-use development in an area of regeneration with
considerable maritime heritage. This design exploits the maritime
setting, with the creation of a combined development of residential
units and commercial, retail space. The proposed development would
be based on sustainable principles including such elements to merit
a 'very good' or 'excellent' rating using the EcoHomes assessment.
The scheme creates public open spaces that are linked through the
sites and connected back to the existing features, and form part
of the overall strategy for the Chatham Maritime area.
